VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

• JOIN THE 2024 JACKSONVILLE CARIBBEAN FESTIVAL VOLUNTEER TEAM. Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Jacksonville Caribbean Festival. Volunteers are the backbone of our festival. The difference between a good volunteer program and a great one is that the volunteers have a wonderful time while they are volunteering for the event. The Jacksonville Caribbean Festival depends on volunteers of all ages annually, and every volunteer plays a very important role in our event’s success. Our mission is to celebrate cultural diversity through a festive environment, while celebrating life through song, dance and artistic expression. 
• Our volunteer team understands that mission, and works towards its goals by volunteering for one of our sections during the event. This year’s event brings a host of wonderful things and we are so excited that you are considering being a part of it. Our Festival will be held on August 17, 2024 and we are excited about your new or renewed interest in being a volunteer.    
• The Jacksonville Caribbean Festival committee, looks forward to volunteers returning from year to year and continually offers positive feedback, as well as constructive suggestions on ways to improve the event. Volunteers receive an Official Jacksonville Caribbean Festival Volunteer T-shirt. This t-shirt must be worn while you are volunteering at the Caribbean Festival. Please do not make any alterations to your T-shirt while you are volunteering for JCC. 
• All volunteers, new and returning, must attend one of the training meetings held weeks prior to the Caribbean Festival. These meetings provide you with all the necessary details of the Caribbean Festival. Situations change annually and it is vital that you informed about your Volunteer role. Training date and location will be sent to you with your confirmation.  
• As a JCC Volunteer you are required to post on your Social Media pages that you are volunteering at Jacksonville Caribbean Carnival. JCC
• JCC will provide a meal and beverages before, on break or after your shift.
