The Jacksonville Caribbean Carnival:

Celebrates all Caribbean cultures, the Jacksonville Caribbean Carnival features everything from a street parade of pageantry, featuring elaborate costumes and pulsating music, to an aroma-filled Food Festival, highlighting many Caribbean flavors, as well as Steel drum music, ending with a live Caribbean concert. The Caribbean-style Mardi Gras event will be held on

Established in October 2005, the Jacksonville Caribbean Carnival is organized and presented annually by the Jacksonville Caribbean Carnival, Inc. This non-profit organization was founded in 2000, to increase awareness of the area’s growing community, culture, and customs. Our goal is to promote cultural diversity through the festive environment of Carnival.

As a Champion for Cultural Diversity in the community, your investment will afford us the ability to ensure that the entire community is aware of this festive and uplifting event that takes place in our city. We also plan to, in the future be able to teach the art of costume making and playing the steel drums, to children of all backgrounds, in the community.

Jacksonville Caribbean Carnival has grown into one of the city’s most celebrated multicultural events. Mayor Lenny Curry annually issues a Proclamation, for the second week of August to be designated as Caribbean Carnival Week.
